For The Professionals

You are a professional in the residential construction industry. Whether your role is a contractor or a property manager, three things are core to your business. You want to have a reputation for quality and reliability, satisfied customers who will spread your name by word of mouth, and you want to keep costs as low as possible without sacrificing quality. Without all three of these things, you don’t have much of a business. So, it’s essential to choose a window and door supplier carefully. With some building materials, an accidental batch of substandard materials can be compensated for and sometimes overlooked. Still, windows and doors are among the first things people notice about a residence, and easily the most used. Quality is paramount in these pieces. Commercial Customers / Property Management Companies

Property managers and management companies are increasingly frequent clients for us, which some would consider somewhat controversial. After all, the most traditional business model for a residential property management company is often to employ a single handyman for all repairs on all properties.

But even a well-trained handyman can find himself out of his depth on a particularly complex bay window or French door installation – especially if he’s overwhelmed with clogged plumbing, malfunctioning air units, and broken drywall in a dozen other units. By partnering with us for windows and doors, property managers can have expert, warrantied installations of fine products but without taking significant work away from their loyal handymen.

Contractors / Builders

In recent years, we’ve brought that same commitment to excellence to our work with local contractors. As professionals ourselves, we have many of the same needs and goals as the contractors who come to us. As such, our objective is to make your job as a contractor as hassle-free and straightforward as possible while ensuring your customers enjoy the quality they’ve come to expect from your good name.

Sometimes that means handling purchasing and delivery, getting your windows and doors to your project site while you finish your prep work. Sometimes it means you pick out the product, and we handle the entire installation process. Sometimes it might mean just having a cup of coffee with you and talking out your plans, even if it only confirms that you were making the right call anyway. Whatever simplicity and job satisfaction mean to you, we’re here to help you achieve them.

Homeowners Associations

We also often partner with local HOAs to replace windows and doors in entire neighborhoods to ensure the utmost energy efficiency and aesthetic excellence for close-knit communities. That’s a pedigree not many dealers can claim. One thing HOAs are most known for is their dedication to home maintenance as a form of art, and are stalwart and unflinching in their pursuit. They know that a home is a wonderful thing, a thing to be honored and respected, beautified and cherished, and don’t hold back when it comes to absolute perfection.

We can deliver that perfection in the form of beautiful and consistent exterior doors all down the block. We can deliver it by assuring that every homeowner in the association has the privilege to enjoy the exact same bay window. If nothing else, we can help by just establishing a relationship and keeping detailed product records. When Jimmy’s precocious little one throws a baseball through a window, nobody has to scramble to remember which Milgard Series window they purchased so it can be replaced and still match. For these and many more reasons, San Diego HOAs and the homeowners they represent are in full agreement that US Window & Door is a team well worth working with.

Products

We provide fiberglass front doors from industry legend Masonite, a full selection of windows, patio doors, and sliding glass wall products from fellow powerhouse, Milgard. Both companies are household names renowned in the industry for their quality and durability. Both spend a significant amount of effort on research and development to consistently bring you products of not only superlative efficiency but also inspired design. Milgard offers products organized into seven different product lines: some grouped by efficiency, some by beauty, but all to be treasured.

What may be less known is that both companies are Energy Star certified to meet or exceed state requirements for U-Factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) ratings. U-Factor is a measurement of the rate at which radiant, non-solar heat flows through a window or door; in other words, how quickly a window or door lets the heat out during the winter or in during the summer. SHGC, conversely, boils down to the measurement of heat from sunlight that makes it into a home through windows and doors. In both ratings, at least in our Southern California climate, the lower the number, the better, and both Milgard and Masonite have among the lowest values in the industries. In this dangerous stage of global warming where every small effort is key to our planet’s habitability, that’s why we’re proud to offer their efficient and effective products.

Warranties

For manufacturers, a reputation in the industry is a huge factor in customer confidence, but reputation only does so much to assure quality. The true measure of reliability is having the confidence in a product to guarantee fixing it if anything ever does go wrong. To that end, both Masonite and Milgard also offer the peace of mind of a full lifetime warranty for residential installations. Milgard takes it a step further: if the home is sold, the warranty is still valid for the new owners up to ten years from the install date. That’s a level of confidence and consideration that makes us proud to work with such a phenomenal company. However, keep in mind that the warranties for professionals will be limited depending on the type of construction you are doing. Replacing residential windows for a homeowner falls under one category while building an entire complex or other commercial property builds will not receive the same warranty. Contact our office for full details before purchasing.

But the product is only part of the equation when it comes to windows and doors in a home. That’s why at US Window & Door, we also offer a full guarantee on our installations. We guarantee that our professional teams will efficiently work to install your windows and doors. We guarantee that they will maintain a clean and safe environment during installation. Finally, we guarantee that we will inspect our installations before we consider the job finished. Again, some conditions apply as this is our residential installation policy when we are doing the work. Product only purchases or larger and commercial type installations may not apply. Please contact a representative to understand all your options to maximize the warranty of the product and installation.

In the case that the product is covered, the Manufacturer will work with you on any defective materials at any time during the life of the product to ensure the price paid covers the expected results of the product. Measurements sent to us by professional teams are the responsibility of the company; however, we also warranty any installations to provide similar guarantees. We will reasonably protect the floors and location from debris during the installation process, and through everything, we promise that our staff will treat you with respect and courtesy at all times.

Perks

Big deal, though, right? Most companies offer at least some sort of warranty, and most dealers and installers offer a guarantee. Other companies offer Masonite and Milgard products. What makes us so unique? Well, there are several fundamental ways we remain a leader among San Diego dealers.

For example, as previously mentioned, when you work with US Window & Door, you are establishing a relationship in which we have your back, we share in your successes and celebrate with you. It’s also a relationship in which we keep track of several important details that are easy to slip through the cracks when they aren’t your entire business.

Details such as: which product was used in each position on which job, whether that product is still available, which products have specials running on bulk sales, and which are likely to be discontinued. If a recall were issued for any product you ordered from us, we’d know about it as soon as possible. We can contact you, discuss replacement options, and help you keep your customers safe.

We also stay up to date on promotional pricing and financing offers, from manufacturer closeouts to federal grants for the EPA’s energy efficiency programs. No matter what the project, you’ll find that we can get it done for less. We even offer a 2.5% referral bonus on new accounts – it’s basically a commission for a sale that’s nothing more than you being honest to your friends and colleagues and future clients about how much you loved working with us! It’s the closest thing you can get to genuinely free money without building your own mint.

If you’re a homeowner, tell us about your home; if you’re a professional, tell us who counts on you. We want to know everything that you feel is important. Then, once we have a clear understanding of your needs, we can discuss how we can help you meet them.

While all of the factors we’ve gone over here are important, perhaps our most vital offering is that we are on your team. Apart from the practicality and logistics of day-to-day operations, what can make or break a business is having the right team. Having a group of fellow professionals who thrive on your success can make all the difference between coming home tired and drained or coming home energized and satisfied.

That’s what we’re offering when you partner with us – we have an emotional stake in whatever you do. Your successes are our successes, and your failures are ours as well. Your victory is our victory, and your defeat wounds us as it does you. We want to build a relationship with you in which you can depend on us so we can help your business thrive. Just like with your customers, the real secret to customer satisfaction is knowing that you’re both fighting for the same things. In the end, that’s what makes any fight worth it.

The only question that remains is: what is an excellent time to set up a call or site visit
