Vinyl windows are some of the most reliable windows on the market right now. They are easy to use, have a modern look that homeowners love, and very durable. Windows, unfortunately, do not clean themselves, so proper cleaning techniques are required to maintain the beautiful look of your windows. Using harsh chemicals, or bad cleaning products can damage your windows, or discolor them by disrupting the compounds that make up the window.

The safest method of cleaning your vinyl windows is to simply use soap and warm water. This is a gentle cleaning solution that will get most, if not all of the dirt and grime that may have built up over time. One safe way of accomplishing this is to obtain a small bucket, fill it with some warm water and a small amount of liquid detergent. You should be left with a nice foamy solution that you can use to gently wipe down the windows with. A small towel or washcloth would work best. For rinsing them off, you can use clean water and a clean towel to prevent more unwanted stains.

For the exterior of your home, you can even use your hose to reach hard to get garden windows. When using a hose, just make sure the water pressure is not too great, or you could risk damaging the window frame or glass.
